This morning I walked with my dog to a nearby park. A slough runs through the park. On the far side of the slough, stood a heron as still as a heron can be. In the water amongst the emerging green lilly pods were loud splashes from what appeared to be large fish. Nearby were the ducklings taking small risks to venture out. And in the distance stood two white horses, eating grass at the edge of the slough. It was quiet. My dog and I stood alone in the presence of nature and God. I noticed then the circular ripples in the water - the kind where something is under the surface, moving around, but you can't quite see it. You just know there is something not quite visible...and it is a matter of waiting, listening, and watching to see what will unfold. I find this process of discussion about transition into new liturgy to be much the same.

Norine -- I love the way you put this. Sometimes I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas -- the packages that promise adventure waiting to be opened. I feel like each of us brings a mysterious gift to this, and the joy is in seeing how it all comes together.
